Florence D. Kubsch, age 93, a resident of the Northland Lodge, formerly of 1809 30th St. Two Rivers, died peacefully early Thursday morning, October 15, 2015 at Northland Lodge. Florence was born in Francis Creek on August 13, 1922, a daughter of the late Matthias and Rose (Hutterer) Reif. She attended St. Anne's Catholic School in Francis Creek, High School in Rockwood; and later attended the Wisconsin Academy of Beauty Culture, Inc. in Milwaukee, earning her degree in 1941. On Sept. 29, 1945, she married Clarence E. Kubsch at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Francis Creek. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1989.Florence worked as a beautician for over forty years, opening her first salon, "The Flor'ette" in January of 1945, at the age of 22. She opened a second salon, "The Bon-Mar" in 1960 at 3004 School St. in Two Rivers, and retired in September, 1985. Over the years, Florence enjoyed traveling; she loved her flowers and gardening; she loved to bake, and enjoyed the time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters & sons-in-law, Bonnie and Rusty Shambeau of Two Rivers, Mary Ann and Michael Kaddatz of Eagle, CO; four grandchildren, Russell (Sue) Shambeau, Matthew (Libertad) Kaddatz, Torrey (Alana) Kaddatz, and Connor Kaddatz; five great grandchildren, Greta and Xander Shambeau; Logan, Jacob & Luca Kaddatz; and a step great grandson, Joshua Alford. She is further survived by one brother, Edwin Reif of Francis Creek; one sister, Arlette Rozanski of Manitowoc; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson; and seven brothers & sisters: Clarence, Laura, Helen, Wilbur (Butch), Marie, Rosella, and Bobby.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd. Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Tom Reynebeau, with burial in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
