Jessie Bathrick, wife of Joseph Keller, 728 W. Liberty Street, died suddenly at her home this morning about 8 o'clock. She had not been in good health for the past five weeks although she was able to be about each day. This morning she arose and went down stairs but went back to bed a little later. About 8 o'clock her son gave her a glass of water and she talked to him, apparently feeling as well as usual, but soon passed away without warning. Death was caused by heart disease produced by goiter. Mrs. Keller was born in Delta 42 years ago and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bathrick. Twenty-four years ago she was married to Joseph Keller and came to Rome two years later, where she has since made her home. Mrs. Keller attended the Presbyterian Church. She was a woman of many excellent qualities and had a host of friends who will be grieved to hear of her death. Besides her husband, Mrs. Keller leaves two children, Nellie and Harold, her parents, and three brothers and one sister, D. R. Bathrick, M. H. Bathrick and Mrs. Ernest McMullen of Rome, and J. D. Bathrick of Lee Center.
