She was not listed with her parents on the census taken June 1870 (New Iberia, Iberia Parish, Louisiana). According to her burial card she died November 13, 1926, age 50 years, and was buried November 15.

Mrs. Marie M. Stephenson
The funeral of Mrs. Marie M. Stephenson, wife of Homer A. Stephenson, was held Monday afternoon from the Burket chapel. Rev. Father J. F. McCarthy officiated, and burial was in Holy Sepulcher cemetery. Mrs. Stephenson died suddenly early Saturday morning. Besides the husband, she leaves a daughter, Virginia, who was graduated from Central High last June. During the world war Mrs. Stephenson was an active Red Cross worker.
