Etta Veniece Maloy Johnson, age 73, passed peacefully into God’s loving arms on Tuesday, October 20, 2015.
She was a loving wife, mama, sister, maw maw and friend. She was a very special person and meant the world to us. She was our everything.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jared Boyd and parents, Ray and Helen Maloy.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thomas J. Johnson, children, Helen Corrine (Joe) Boyd, Ray (Donna) Johnson, Rory Johnson, Debra Johnson, grandchildren, Joey, Joshua, Jacob, Daryl Ray, Bryan, Chase, Matthew and Christina, great grandchildren, Rylie, Kenslie, Cheyne, Allie Grace, Caroline, Austin and Lane, sister, Betty Lundy, brother, M.C. Maloy.
Pallbearers are Joey, Joshua and Jacob Boyd; Daryl Ray, Bryan, Chase and Andrew Johnson; Matthew Ryan. The family would like to thank Dr. Daniel Cameron and the staff at Mitchell Cancer Center, Dr. Russell Brown and the staff at Cancer Surgery of Mobile and Covenant Hospice for taking such professional and loving care of our loved one. Services will be officiated by Pastor Rusty Johnson. Visitation will be held at Lighthouse Church of Irvington on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 5 pm until. Funeral service will be held at the church on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 12 noon. Interment will be in Oddfellow Cemetery.
