John Earl Schetrompf Jr., 47, of 17226 Reiff Church Road, Hagerstown, died Friday, May 3, 2002, at Washington County Hospital.

Born July 3, 1954, in Connellsville, Pa., he was the son of John Earl Schetrompf Sr. of Hagerstown and the late Marian Patricia Savage Schetrompf.

He was employed by Woodmax in Hagerstown.

He was a member of Wayside Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, he is survived by two sisters, Carol A. Hartman of Smithsburg and Cindy D. McGilliard of Waynesboro, Pa., a niece and four nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Scott T. Schetrompf.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Odell Stone will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
