Pearlie Mae Westbrook, age 96 of Winchester, passed away Tuesday October 20, 2015 at her home. A native of New Hope, AL she and her family moved to Fayetteville, TN after she completed the 8th grade. Later she and her family lived in Chattanooga, TN, Chickamauga, GA, and Nashville. For the last 25 years she and her husband made their home in Winchester where she a member of the Winchester First United Methodist Church. She will be lovingly remembered as a very humble person who enjoyed fishing, loved music and dancing. She had a green thumb and could make anything grow and flourish. Over the past three and half years she and her husband lived at Southern Manor and she seldom missed an opportunity to play BINGO. Mrs. Westbrook is preceded in death by her mother, Willie Grayson Whitaker and her father, John Nelson Whitaker; several brothers and sisters. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 69 years, Harold Westbrook; daughter, Susan Westbrook (Burt) Brown of Estill Springs; sons, Bill (Sharon) Westbrook of Winchester and Tommy (Henry) Westbrook of Blairsville, GA; sisters, Jolene (Joe Earl) Caldwell of Rogersville, TN and Gail (Curtis) Howell of Fayetteville, TN; 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday October 24, from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. The funeral Ceremony will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday October 24, 2015 from the chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Steve Angus and Rev. J. D. Spencer officiating. Interment will follow at Watson-North Memorial Park with Brent Brown, Casey Westbrook, Dillon Green, Brian Hall, Johnny Towry, Steve Caldwell, Curtis Howell and Doug Armstrong serving as pallbearers.
