Abagail M. Geurts Serjeant, 61, of Arnold, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, in Golden Living Center, Monroeville. She was born Sept. 28, 1954, in Graceville, Minn., a daughter of Vivian Ludowese Geurts and the late Cletus Geurts. Abagail was a graduate of Gibson City High School, Gibson City, Ill., and then attended Parkland College, Champaign, Ill., where she received an associate degree in accounting. She was employed as an accountant for local companies. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Serjeant. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Erik Serjeant; and siblings, Margaret Geurts, Dan (Barb) Geurts, Paul (Mary) Geurts, Rebecca (Murray) Galloway and Chris Geurts.
