Ruby Mae Logan, age 88, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2014, after a long illness.She was born Ruby Mae Wilmoth on May 10, 1926 in Holly West Virginia to the late Henry and Rhoda (Wait) Wilmoth, she was an only child. She married Charles Skidmore in West Virginia and had a son, Charles S. Skidmore. She moved to New York City in 1948 with her young son Charles, where she met and married George R. Logan in 1949, and had three more children, Donna, Patricia and Raymond (Danny). Ruby went to work in the Restaurant Industry at Horn & Hardart, JS Krum, and later in the Ramapo School District. She retired at the age of 70. She was active in the Sloatsburg Seniors, and enjoyed traveling. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her daughter, Donna & husband Sam of Conway, SC; her daughter, Patricia & husband Bill Groesbeck of Sloatsburg, NY; her son, Raymond Logan of Mt. Tremper, NY; and her daughter-in-law, Ronnie Skidmore of Staten Island, NY. She was predeceased by her son, Charles S. Skidmore of Saylorsburg, PA; and her son-in-law, Patsy Nigro of Sloatsburg, NY. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren, Christopher Giannetti of Garnerville, Ny, Paul Giannetti of Stony Point, NY, Diana (Nigro) Sabtautu of Monroe, NY, Christina (Nigro) Lowe of Monroe, NY, Charles Skidmore of Sioux Falls, SD, and Diane Redmond of Saylorsburg, PA. She has 6 great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Connor, Teagen, Madison, Brooke and Ava. Visitation will be held on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59 Suffern, NY 10901. Meet at Funeral Home at 9:30am on Friday, June 19, 2014 and the interment will follow at St. Denis Cemetery in Hopewell Junction, NY.
