Born on July 2, 1963 in Lewis County, Clara was the daughter of Dorothy Cates Carroll and the late James C. Carroll. She worked as a hair dresser for over ten years and later began her career as a correctional officer at Turney Center in Hickman County for over eighteen years until she retired. Clara was a hardworking mother of two boys, Joshua and Anthony. She always had a smile on her face, and she loved nothing more than to spend time with her only two grandbabies, Branson and Kylan Goodman.
She is survived by her mother: Dorothy Carroll of Columbia; son: Joshua (Valerie) Goodman of Hohenwald; husband: Kirk B. Goodman; brother: Jerry (Leah) Carroll of Lawrenceburg; sisters: Carla (Danny) Murphy of Hohenwald. Dolly (Allen) Gray of Loretto, Claudia (James) Kelley of Crossville, Jamie (Paul) Willis of Columbia; and grandchildren: Joshua Kylan Goodman, Branson Eli Goodman, and James “J.C.” Willis.
She was preceded in death by father: James C. Carroll; and son: Anthony Wade Daniel.
