Johnny was preceded in death by both his parents and his oldest brother, George.
Johnny and his wife Janice enjoyed fifty years of marriage. He loved fishing, hunting and playing dominoes. He enjoyed gardening, which yielded many fresh vegetables for his family and neighbors. He also loved to barbecue, and was known for his brisket. He loved to watch football. He rooted for the Longhorns and loved the UT fight song.
Johnny’s passion was his family. He loved his children and truly embraced being a grandpa. He took time to teach them simple math and read books to them. He would take them to play at the park, eat ice cream, as well as tossing and kicking a football in the yard. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren involved in choir, band, and dance activities.
