Leah G. Hines, 48, of Wilmington died October 21, 2015, after a brief illness.

She was born on May 27, 1967 in Phoenix, AZ to Robert and Vonda Hines.

In addition to her parents Leah is survived by her husband, Steven Maksymowski; brother, Vincent Hines; daughter, April Moore; granddaughter, Stella Nagle as well as many other loving family and friends.

Leah’s beautiful charm and adventurous spirit led her to a career as a flight attendant with US Airways. She married Steven, the love of her life, at the Elvis Presley Wedding Chapel, and they had 19 years of happiness. Leah was passionate about her family and friends, her flowers and decorating her home, her fiesta dishes, her Barbie Collection, and her Teletubbies. She loved the written word, specifically American literature and the authors who wrote about the human condition. She had a great command of the English language and spoke eloquently on any occasion.

A visitation will be held from 3-5pm Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11am Monday October 26, 2015 at Andrews Valley Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park
