Louise spent most of her life in Walesboro where she was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was active with the Ladies Aide. She worked for many years at Brunings Specialty Shop in downtown Columbus until it closed and Hallmark Cards. She enjoyed quilting and sewing.
Born in Greensburg on May 20, 1927, Mrs. Roberts was the daughter of Chester and Evelyn Morland Baker.
She married William "Shorty" Roberts on November 24, 1945.
He preceded her in death on February 23, 2004
Louise is survived by her daughter, Ginny Meyer of Columbus; son, Vanas "Dale" Roberts of Walesboro; grandchildren, Amber Pittman of Columbus, April (Joe) Helmsin of Collierville, TN, Rusty (Kristin) Loyd of Terre Haute and Kasey Lucas of Seymour; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Leah Mae Shepherd of Nashville and a brother, Harry (Cindy) Baker of Columbus
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Sylvia Freeman; brothers, Leslie Baker, Bob Baker and Donald Baker; son Kenneth "Butch" Roberts
and a granddaughter, Jillian Pittman.
