Ruth Anna Barr was the daughter of Jennings Barr and Eva Mae Bradfield.

She married Marcus Dale Smith, son of Thomas Smith and Delcia Lee, on October 16, 1939, in Hamilton County, Indiana; they were married until his death on October 20, 1980. The couple had six children, four daughters and two sons.

She married George Edward Huntzinger, son of Rolland Lewis Huntzinger and Nellie Virgin, on October 23, 1982, in Noblesville, Hamilton County, Indiana; they were married until his death on July 29, 1998. The couple had no children together.

"Ruth A. Huntzinger, 92, [of] Noblesville, died Oct. 22[, 2015,] at home. She was born Oct. 14, 1923 to Jennings and Eva (Bradfield) Barr in Noblesville.
Ruth loved life and people in general. She was a homemaker who was always immaculate in her appearance. One of her favorite joys came from spending time with her family. She enjoyed flowers, taking car rides, cooking and caring for others. Many years ago, she baked pies for the sale barn. She loved music and singing and was a member of White River Christian Church in Noblesville and attended Fishers Church of Christ. She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by daughters, Delcia (Pat) Stiglett and [living]; son, [living]; sister, Reva Smith; 15 grandchildren; and several great and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Marcus D. Smith in 1980 and George Huntzinger in 1998; two daughters, Joyce Hillers and Wilma Gregory; son, Marcus Smith; grandson, Tony Wilson; and two brothers, John and Lester Barr.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Oct. 29, at Randall & Roberts Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Rd., Fishers, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Lanny Smith and Randy Shouse officiated. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
