Friedrich married Elizabeth Eisenbraun on 22 January 1903 in Naper, Nebraska. They had seven children. Emile Elizabeth, Walter E, Arthur Edwin, Helen Marie, Heinrich Wilbert, Martha Magdelene and Irvin Fred (Erwin Friedrich).
