Mrs. Mary Horton, age 89, passed away October 23, 2015 in Clarksdale, MS. The Family will receive friends at a catered reception Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm. The service will follow at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Belen Cemetery.
Mrs. Horton, a homemaker, was a member of Walnut Baptist Church. Her daughter, Carolyn (Mike) Stovall of Marks, MS; her son, Lewis (Jerrie) Horton of Lyon, MS; and her brother, Kenneth (Margie) Hodges of Hernando, MS, survive her. Also surviving Mrs. Horton are grandchildren, Josh (Melissa) Stovall of Cartersville, GA; Matthew Horton of Lyon, MS; and Jan (Nathan) Little of Cleveland, MS; and three great grandchildren, Sadie Little of Cleveland, MS; and John and Sam Stovall of Cartersville, GA.
Mrs. Horton was preceded in death by her husband, Eli Horton; her parents, Louie and Mary Bell Hodges and her brother, Curtis Hodges.
