Sparkling and vivacious, widely read and remarkably well- informed ,with easy, gracious manners of a well-bred, much traveled gentlewoman, and having gifts of felicitous expression and a keen sense of humor, she was an outstanding member of any company in which she happened to be present. She left one daughter, Arthemise, who has inherited much of the genius of both her illustrious parents.
