Alvin R. Vining Sr., 76, a native of Patterson and resident of Franklin for 26 years, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, at Terrebonne General Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Barrilleaux Vining; a son, Alvin J Vining Jr.; a daughter, Janet Space, a brother Elmer Bernadou; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, his father, a brother, a son, a granddaughter and a grandson.
Services were conducted at Golden Meadows Funeral Home in St. Martinsville Friday at 11 a.m.. Interment was in the Gibson Baptist Church Cemetery. The Golden Meadows Funeral Home of St. Martinsville was in charge of arrangements.
