Mrs. Laura Theo Docia Dillard, 74, of the Electra community for nearly 37 years, died in the Bethania Hospital in Wichita Falls Wednesday about 4 a.m.

Mrs. Dillard came to Electra in 1919 with her husband from near Sunshine Hill in Panola County and was living near Rock Crossing at the time of her death.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 3 p.m. in the First Methodist Church with Rev. Foy Thomas, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Electra Memorial Cemetery under the direction of the Totten Funeral Home.

The grandsons served as pallbearers. They included Artie Allred Jr., W.J. Allred, both of Fort Worth, Gary Dillard of Holliday, Carl Dillard Jr. of Electra, Richard Roy Dillard of Kamay, and Claud Slack of Houston.

Survivors include her husband W.J. Dillard of Rock Crossing; two sons, Paul of Wichita Falls and I.F. Dillard of Holliday; one daughter, Mrs. Artie Allred of Electra; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren._
