Margaret I. Korsi, age 91 years, passed away Tuesday, October 20,2015 at Golden Living Center-Westwood, Clinton, Missouri. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015, 11:00 AM at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home. Visitation will take place one hour prior. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and may be left in care of the funeral home. Margaret was born in Bloomfield, Nebraska on September 1, 1924 to Henry and Lucretia Martin. She was the third of five children: two brothers: Keith and Larry Martin and two sisters: Glondale Clifton and Jacqueline Jones.
Margaret married Jacob Martin Korsi in December 1942. Two sons were born from this union: David Martin Korsi and Ronald James Korsi. Margaret loved taking care of her family. She was a wonderful cook, and she enjoyed holiday dinners with family and friends.
Margaret and Jacob lived in the Kansas City area most of their married life. Later in life, they moved to Osceola and owned a farm. Margaret loved making beautiful quilts and hand quilting them for her children and grandchildren. Margaret worked at Safeway store in Clinton, Missouri as a checker and meat wrapper until she retired at the age of 62.
Margaret has eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings.
Survivors include her two sons, David Korsi of Hermitage, Missouri and Ron and Carol Korsi of Clinton, Missouri, 8 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
