Montgomery Man Takes Own Life In Downtown Hotel -- The body of Buford C. Allen, 47, Montgomery County farmer, who committed suicide by taking strychnine In a local hotel early Friday morning, was sent to Shelbyville, Ky.. his former home, by the Diffly Undertaking Company Friday afternoon. Funeral services will be held there Saturday. Mr. Allen, who registered at the hotel Thursday night as from Dothan, Ala., was found by guests who entered the room after hearing groans. He pointed to a table on which lay several strychnine tablets. Mr. Alien died before medical assistance reached him. A note which was found by Coroner John J. Diffly in his pocket stated that he was led to the taking of his own life by financial troubles. Coroner Diffly later rendered a verdict of suicide.
