Age 90 and a longtime resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana Joan passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at her residence. She and her late husband, Rush Lassiter, owned and operated Rush's Drive-In for many years. Joan was also a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church in Hammond.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, John Dix; 2nd husband, Rush Lassiter; special companion, Eddie Hodges; daughter, Barbara Galatas; son, Charles Andrew Dix; thirteen brothers and sisters.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service from the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Bishop Ron Abel will officiate the services.
