Jeanne GALL and Vaughn ERICKSON were married on June 7, 1968 at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman, Morrison County, Minnesota. After Vaughn died in 1972, she married Ronald THOMMES on June 16, 1979 at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell, Benton County, Minnesota.

Jeanne Thommes, age 67, of Royalton, MN, passed away at her home on Saturday, October 24, 2015.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Buckman, MN, with Fr. Kenneth Popp officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:008:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28th at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz and at the church on Thursday one hour prior to Mass.

There will be a Rosary at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home followed by a Parish Prayer service at 7:00 p.m.

Jeanne Rosemarie Gall was born on July 24, 1948, in Little Falls, Minnesota the daughter of John Christine (Otremba) Gall. She grew up on a farm near Buckman. She attended school in Buckman and graduated from Pierz Healy High School, Class of 1966. She was united in marriage to Vaughn Erickson on June 7, 1968 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman. The couple lived in Newport, MN, and had two daughters, Lynn and Lori. Vaughn died on August 18, 1972, and Jeanne later moved to Sartell with her children. Jeanne was united in marriage to Ron Thommes on June 16, 1979 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell, MN. They made their home in Sartell and later moved to their home in Bellevue Township near Royalton. Throughout her career, Jeanne worked at various places including, delivering Star Tribune papers in the St. Cloud area, DeZurik in Sartell, Herbergers Distribution Center in Sartell, Dubow Textile in St. Cloud, and Dura Supreme in Pierz. Jeanne also cared for her parents and her sister, Doris as their health declined. Jeanne enjoyed many activities with her family and friends including fishing trips to Canada and Alaska, bow hunting and duck hunting, and cooking meals for family gatherings (especially at Christmas, her favorite holiday). Jeanne was very family oriented. She believed in her upbringing and faith and sought ways to share that with everyone in her life. She loved sharing her life stories and people enjoyed listening to them. Adversity in her life created the person she became and if you knew Jeanne, you became a better person.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Lynn Erickson of Plymouth, MN, and Lori (Eric) Metzger of Monticello, MN; step-children, Steve Thommes of St. Cloud, MN and Kellie Thommes of Cumberland, WI; brothers, Marvin (Kitty), Jerry (Linda), Alvin (Darlene), Donny (Debbie), Leon (Sue), David (Sue), Marne (Lisa), Gordie (Betty); sisters, Diane (Roger) Thommes, Yvonne (Pete) Herold; sister in law, Renee Gall; and grandchildren, Marissa Kreifels, Brittni Kreifels, Landon Metzger and Eva Metzger.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, John Christine (Otremba) Gall; husbands, Vaughn Erickson (Aug. 18, 1972) and Ronald Thommes (Feb. 25, 2012); sister, Doris Hilfer; brothers, Dennis and Ralph.
