Glen Crandall, age 92, of Huron, died Friday, March 25, 2005 at his home.

Glen Crandall was born on April 27, 1912, to Arthur and Juno (Deming) Crandall on the farm north of Artesian. He attended school in rural Artesian.

On August 8, 1936, Glen married Nina Dubro at his wife's parent's home at rural Esmond. The couple lived and farmed in rural Artesian, SD. In 1966, they moved to Huron. He was employed at the Eastside Service Station and later was the owner of the Magee Service Station. For over 30 years Glen sold Watkins products which he considered his hobby.

He was a past member of the Church of the Nazarene in Carthage and Huron, and presently attended the Assembly of God Church in Huron. He was a devoted Christian all his life.

He is survived by two sons, Harley (Ruby) Crandall of Huron, and Roger Crandall of Redfield; one daughter, Shirley (Rev. John) Visconti of Godfrey, IL; 12 grandchildren, Darlis Fischer, David Crandall, Curtis Crandall, Duane Crandall, Chad Crandall, Darwin Crandall, Troy Crandall, Nathaniel Visconti, Joshua Visconti, David Newman, Robert Newman, and Charles Newman; five great grandchildren, Rebecca Fischer, Dylan Crandall, McKenzie Crandall, Coco Crandall and Nicole Gilbert; a special friend Kathleen Werner; two brothers, Raymond (Julia) Crandall of Wolsey and Archie (Alice) Crandall of Boise, ID; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nina on August 18, 2001, his parents, two sons, infant Melvin, and Darrell; twin great grandsons, Angello Lee Gilbert and Lee Angello Gilbert, and five brothers, Chester, Eugene, John in infancy, Wayne and Harold.

Funeral service at the Assembly of God Church with Rev. John Visconti officiating. Burial at the Pleasant View Cemetery at Carthage, SD.
