Graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 2PM at the Veale Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-7PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.
Ronald James Bordelon was born on May 3, 1946 in Breckenridge to Marvin J. Bordelon and Clara L. Steele Bordelon.
Ronnie was a man of many words and a “unique” man. He classified himself as the “Iron Doctor” and “Master Blacksmith”. His livelihood was working with iron and metal. He was an expert welder, and “self-taught” auctioneer. He thrived in making guns and knives. One of his specialties was making roses and crosses. Every woman wanted a rose or cross. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Betty Bordelon; daughter, Lynda Hinson and husband, Lonnie; sons, Trey Bordelon and wife, Jennifer and Marty Bordelon; grandchildren, Cage, Cindy and Gus Bordelon, Layni, Lynsi, Lonnie III, Kendalyn Hinson; and his “Button” Jaycee Bordelon; great-grandson, Kaelem “Podunkus” Hinson.
