HAVELOCK - Charles Miller Davis Sr., 82, of Havelock, passed March 28, 2013, at Cherry Point Bay.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and he served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Davis enjoyed golf, tennis, bowling, the outdoors and playing sports. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Davis Watson and a grandson, Karl Joseph Watson.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Martha H. Davis; two sons, Charlie Davis Jr. and wife Betsy of New Bern and Jeff Davis and wife Tracy of Florida; four daughters, Carol Davis Ellis of New Bern, Delores Deshane and husband Rod of Havelock, Amy Kay Davis of Havelock and Pat Williams and husband Encil of New Bern; three sisters, Pauline Davis and Mary C. Davis, both of New Bern and Julia A. Moran of Kentucky; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Calvary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 1305 Navaho Dr. Ste. 101, Raleigh, NC 27609 www.alz.org/nc or the American Parkinson's Disease, 135 Parkinson Ave., Staten Island, NY 10305.
