Victor Landers lived most of his life in the Warren area. He enlisted in the US Army during WWII in the 22nd infantry division. He was wounded during the invasion of Normandy for which he received the Purple Heart. He spent 14 months convalescing in the England General Hospital at Atlantic City, NJ.

Victor never married. He was employed as a meter repairman with Warren Water Co. for 40 years. He was a member of the Dinsmoor Swing Post 631 and the American Legion Post 135. He enjoyed playing the mandolin.
