James T. (Jim) Doyle, 60, Topeka, formerly of Holton, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, at his home.
He was born Oct. 20, 1930 at Holton, the son of Edward J. and Josephine Hurla Doyle. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Kay.
He was an employee of Bracketts, Inc. for 26 years. Before Brackett's he worked for Cooper Motor Parts.
He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Kas Kas Kai No. A07 and the USS Whiteside during the Korean War.
He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, the Royal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 5, Topeka, and a member of the Swinging Squares Square Dancing Club.
He married Alice Krogman July 27, 1953 in Holton. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Sheryl Ann Stanley, Goddard, Kan.; and two sons, James A. Doyle, Overbrook and Gregory L. Doyle, Renton, Wash., two sisters, Katherine Spann, Helena, Calif., and Shelley Spann, Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; two brothers, John Doyle, Hampton, Va., and Joe Doyle, Holton; and six grandchildren.
Family will receive friends and relatives from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 8 at Parker-Price Mortuary, Topeka. Prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 at Assumption Catholic Church, Topeka. Internment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Holton.
