W.E. Bowles, 86, of West Terre Haute died at 8:50 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, in Union Hospital.
He worked for Conrail for 53 years. He was born Nov. 26, 1919, in Chrisman, Ill., to Fred Bowles and Elsie Liffick Bowles.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Krietenstein Post 104. Private graveside services are 11 a.m. Friday in Bethesda Cemetery, with the Rev. Tony Dilley officiating and military honors by Post 104. Mattox-Ryan Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
