Roselyn was the daughter of Orvin Josiah Hollingsworth (b. 1884 in Kansas, d. 1972, Nashville, TN) and Daisy Emma Cummings (b. 1885 in Illinois, d. 1985 in Nashville, TN). By 1930, they were living in Winfield, Kansas. She graduated from Winfield H.S. in 1944 before attending Bethany-Peniel College in OK.
Roselyn had two brothers: Ival Waldene b. 19 Jan 1916 in Alva, Woods, OK (FAG# 40490529) and Orvin Josiah, Jr. b. 23 Jul 1918 in Alva, Woods, OK.
