Rev. Fred C. Knight, Jr., 86, died June 10, 2014, in his Edmond, OK home, surrounded by loving family.
Fred was born to Fred C., Sr. and Lethea Lynch Knight on October 6, 1927 in Wilburton, OK.
He served in the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge in 1947.
He entered Oklahoma A&M College graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Husbandry. He married the love of his life, Sue Schnaithman on July 29, 1951.
Fred entered Southern Methodist University, where he was a member of the Seminary Singers. He received the Master of Theology Degree from Perkins School of Theology.
From 1957-1978 he served Methodist churches in Oklahoma. He pursued a Stockbroker position in his third career.
Fred is survived by his wife Sue, of 62 years; three children Debbie Knight, Andy (wife, Cheryl) and David Knight (wife, Bridgette), five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, four sisters; preceded by two sisters.
A Celebration Service will be 2:00 pm, Monday, June 30, at Church of the Servant, 14343 N. MacArthur, Oklahoma City, OK. Memorials may be made to the Ministry of Music Dept. at Church of the Servant or a charity of your choice.
