Josiah F. Clark, when 39 years old, enlisted on 8/13/1862 at Anoka, Anoka County, MN as a Musician and mustered into "A" Co. MN 8th Infantry. He was promoted to Principal Musician on 10/14/1862 and was reassigned in an Intra Regimental Company Transfer from company A to Field & Staff. He was mustered out on 7/11/1865 at Fort Snelling, MN.
