“On Thursday last at his home in this village occurred the death of George Flory, one of the village’s most esteemed residents. Mr. Flory had been in ailing health for some time with dropsy. Deceased was 62 years of age, and was born at Sandy Hill, N.Y., August 21, 1842. January 1, 1864, he was united un marriage with Miss Luna C. Cain, who with one daughter, Dr. Nellie Flory of Ilion, survives him. Also one sister, Rhoda Dietzel [Deitzel] of Wayland. Mr. Flory was a miller by occupation and was for a number of years in charge of the Model Mill of this place. The funeral was held at his late residence, Rev. R.E. Brettle and Rev. Clara E. Morgan officiating. Interment in Maple View cemetery.”
