She was born in Fairmont on Nov. 4, 1927, a daughter of the late Alden Addison and Odessa Loucetta Stutler Adams.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker who enjoyed listening to the Bible Broadcasting Network on the radio. She also enjoyed reading, playing cards, fishing and spending time with her family, especially Thursday lunches with her children.
Mrs. Cochran is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly Jean and Steve Rosko of Fairmont and Brenda Joyce and Julius Simpson of Fairmont; one son and daughter-in-law, William Richard “Rick” Cochran Jr. and Lynn Ann of Rivesville; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and one sister-in-law, Helen Adams of Lancaster, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, William Richard Cochran in 1990; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, William H. Adams, George H. and Idris Adams, Wilford “Happy” and Eleanor Adams, and infant Wayman Adams; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, her twin Martha June and Paul Haney, Wanda and Ralph Arnold, Carolyn and Frank Urso, and infant Juanita Adams; and one nephew, Paul E. Haney Jr. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mary chose immediate burial with no funeral home visitation as her method of disposition. Private graveside services will be held at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover with Pastor John Pigott officiating. Her family has requested that memorial contributions be made in her name to BBN Radio, Charlotte, NC 28240.
