LILIE ALICE GOLDEN Age 84, of Hemet, California, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at her residence. Mrs. Golden was born January 26, 1925 in Liverpool, England. She was the daughter of the late Lilie Alice May Weech and Thomas Alexander MacLean. Lilie came to the USA to work for mystery writer, Erle Stanley Gardner of Temecula from 1949 to 1956. Lilie married Glen A. Westphal, M.D. and was widowed in 1962. She lived in Lake Elsinore from 1956-1971. Lilie married Jerome A. Golden, M.D. in 1972. Dr. Golden passed away in 1995. Lilie worked at the Hemet Valley Hospital for eleven years as a secretary and administrative assistant. She was a volunteer worker for Hemet Hospice since 1996. She is survived by her loving brother, Marcus T. MacLean and wife Joyce; niece, Melinda D. MacLean-Anderson; nephew, Derek C. MacLean, DDS, all of Nevada. Arrangements are being handled by Miller-Jones & Cremations Inc., 1501 W. Florida Ave. A Celebration of Lilie's life will be on Friday, May 8th, 2009 at 1:00pm.
