Richard retired from Indiana Bell after 37 1/2 years of service on February 16, 1990. Mr. Arthur was a volunteer fire fighter in New Palestine and a farmer for many years. He served in the National Guard from 1949 to 1952. He was a member of the Franklin Road Baptist Church, and he and Joyce volunteered for Christian Ministries for the Lord throughout the years.
Richard is survived by his wife Joyce (Miller) Arthur; daughters Sharon Koontz of Indianapolis, and Terry Kinder of Greenfield; sons Randy Lee Arthur of Oldsmar, FL and Roger Lee (Tami) Arthur of Greenwood; 8 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
Services for Mr. Arthur are 2:00 pm Sunday November 1, 2015 with visitation from 11:00 am until time of service at Hendryx Mortuary, 19 E. Main Street, New Palestine, IN 46163.
