STREATOR - The funeral for Bernadine Whalen, 80, of 109 W. Kent St., Streator, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church, the Rev. Deo Gratias Mutefunya officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wenona.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Solon Funeral Home, Streator, with the rosary recited at 6:30 p.m.
She died at 5:35 p.m. Friday (April 16, 1999) at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Mrs. Whalen was born Aug. 20, 1918, in Sunbury Township, a daughter of Thomas and Ella Feehan Corrigan. She married William H. Whalen on April 10, 1948. He died Oct. 13, 1980.
She is survived by a daughter, Coleen Whalen, Joliet; and a sister-in-law, Lois Corrigan, Kankakee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Francis Corrigan; and three sisters, Veronica Corrigan, Sister Mary Teresetta Corrigan RSM and Rita Mulligan.
