Mrs. Rose E. Pounds, 829 N. Madison, died Sunday evening in a Topeka hospital. She was 85.
She was born Feb. 17, 1879 near Grantville and spent most of her life in Topeka. She was a member of the Kansas Avenue Methodist Church.
Her husband, J. B. Pounds died in July 1928.
Survivors include two sons, James Pounds and Roy Pounds, both of the home; a granddaughter, Mrs. Norma Jean Harris of Portland, Ore.; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Parker Mortuary with burial in Topeka Cemetery.".
