Abner was born on April 18, 1921 in Rotan, TX to Abner and Katie Aaron. Raised in Rotan, he married his junior high sweetheart, Mary Beth Cave, and moved to Dallas in 1942.
Abner served in the United States Army Air Forces as a Navigator on a B-29 during WWII.
After the war, he owned and operated several productive businesses in the Dallas area.
He was a 32 degree mason of the Dallas Valley, was initiated on 4-27-1964 and was a member of Oak Cliff Masonic Lodge #705 in Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Beth, his wife of 62 years, and his sister, Jessie Morrow.
He is survived by two children, daughter Jana Miller and husband Karl of Waco, TX and son Andy Aaron and wife Sharon of Vancouver, BC; grandchildren, Lisa Lux and husband Stuart, and Jennifer Lilly all of Eldorado, TX, and Shandi and Jonathan Aaron of Vancouver, BC; great-grandchildren, Kami, Kyler, and Kasey Lux of Eldorado, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service: Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008 at 11 AM at First United Methodist Church in Rotan, TX. Burial will follow Belvieu Cemetery, Rotan, Texas.
