ANNA LEE LEARY STURMS, age 66 years, a resident of Montrose, WV departed this life late Monday evening, June 1, 2009 at the Davis Memorial Hospital.

She was born Thursday, May 20, 1943 at Elkins, a daughter of the late George Washington Leary and Melissa Crookshank Leary.

On August 5, 1968 at Elkins, she was married to Robert W. Sturms, who survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Ronnie Sturms, Montrose, Steven Sturms and Robert Gray, both of North Carolina, and Robert W. "Bub" Sturms, Jr. and loving friend, Debbie Daugherty, Elkins; five daughters, Agnes, Cass, Mary, Elkins, Sandy, Wheeling, Kimberly, Montrose, and Melissa, Elkins, brothers, Jerry Leary, Cravensdale, Woodrow Leary, and Darius Leary, both of Elkins; sisters, Eula Loane, Marietta, OH; and Betty J. Glendenin, Pt. Pleasant; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Preceding her in death are brothers, Denver "Barb", Charles and George Washington Leary, Jr. and several sisters, Virginia Goff, Lenora M. Crites, Pauline Leary and Shirley Hupp.

She attended the schools of Randolph County, was a homemaker and had worked for Nella's Nursing Home.

She enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, & gardening, and had been a member of the Ladies' Aid Auxiliary at Coffman Chapel.

Graveside services will be conducted at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 11:30 AM.

Pastor Dennis W. McCauley will officiate and interment will follow.
