Lawrence L. Rowe, 71, of Henry, IL died at 8:59 a.m. Monday, November 2, 2015 at his residence with his family by his side.
Lawrence was born August 21, 1944 in Spring Valley, IL the son of Lawrence O. and Mary Effie DeBolt Rowe. Surviving are three children Lisa Rowe of Peoria, Larry (Renee) Rowe of Henry, and Ted (Kourtney) Rowe of Casper, WY; Five grandchildren Mary Kate, Preston, Carson, Alexis, and Stella; one sister Cheryl Rowe of Peoria, and two brothers Jim Rowe of Peoria, and Steve (Donna) Rowe of Henry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Tom, and one sister Janice Bauter.
Lawrence had a Bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and had been a teacher at Lonstat Schools before working at area factories. He was an Frustrated Cubs and Bears Fan. He had raised Pheasants for release for many years and loved to hunt, fish, and watch his grandchildren play sports.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home, 513 Carroll St, Henry, IL with Rev. Terry Broady officiating. Burial will follow at Henry cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Carroll Street Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Henry Summer Rec program or Pheasants Forever.
