Janie Allen, age 83, of Demorest, was a daughter of the late John Gordon Sisk and Martha Allen Sisk. She was a longtime member of Habersham Baptist Church. Mrs. Allen was employed for over 20 years with Habersham Mills. After completing the nursing program from North Georgia Tech, she was employed with Habersham Medical Center and later Habersham Home from which she retired.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Allen; brothers, Bill and Redus Sisk; sisters, Vera Copeland, Alice Robinson, and Louise Ivie.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Sisk (Bill Lassiter) and Lynn Gribble (Roger); sister, Betty Masters; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
