Funeral Tuesday
Funeral service for Edna K. Meier, 72, of Timbercrest Drive, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday by Myers Funeral Service at their Reed and Jewell Chapel, with the Rev. Eldon L. Brandt officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and 1 p.m. until service time on Tuesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Bartholomew County Area Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Meier died at 4 p.m. Saturday at her home.
She retired as a salesclerk at Anderson's Dress Shop. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Tabitha Guild and Women's Missionary League.
Born June 5, 1915, in Bartholomew County, Mrs. Meier was the daughter of William and Clara Arnholt Reinking. She was married to Ben Meier on Aug. 22, 1937, in Columbus. He died July 11, 1972.
Surviving are sons, Dale and Ted Meier; five grandchildren; sisters, Emma Linke and Minnie Nordman; and a brother, John Reinking, all of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Reinking, and sisters, Marie Nicol, Ella Reinking and Carolyn Runge.
