Stella Kreeger dies at 88
Stella Frances Kreeger, 88, Route 2, died yesterday at the Douglass Nursing Center in Douglass.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Garrison Cemetery. Rev. Richard Axmann will officiate.
She was born Sept. 21, 1895 in Rose Hill to Albert N. and Nellie Burton Johnson.
She married James Allen Kreeger Sept. 16, 1931 in El Dorado. He preceded her in death.
Two brothers, Levi and Joel Johnson, and a sister, Elma Nance, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a nephew, Bryon Freeman of Augusta and a grandchild.
Notes: Stella's mother died when Stella was young. She was cared for in the home of her maternal grandparents, George Nance and Sarah Martha (Thomas) Burton Nance in Carroll County, MO. Stella married james A. Kreeger 9/16/1931 in El Dorado.
