Deceased Name: Beulah E. Adams
Beulah E. Adams, 82, of Toledo Avenue in Osceola, passed away at her residence on August 19, 2006, of natural causes. Beulah was born July 2, 1924, to Doss and Evoline (Martin) Rorie in Onia, Arkansas. On September 28, 1940, she married Mr. Olen Adams in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Olen preceded her in death, passing away January 5, 2002.
Surviving are her sons, William Adams, and Terry (Terri) Adams, both of Osceola; and her daughters, Delene (Joe) Brown, Olene (Bill) Ledgewood, Shirley (Wayne) Taber, Barbara (Lyle) Bailey and Phyllis Grayson, all of Osceola, Indiana. Also surviving are her brothers, Tinnie (Marie) Rorie of Mishawaka, Hassell (Wilma) Rorie and Eulis (Betty) Rorie, both of Osceola, and Dolton (Frances) Rorie, of Elkhart. Beulah is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Onis and Lyle Rorie; a sister Eudie Mae Rorie; a grandson, Todd Adams; and her son-in-law, Tom Grayson.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2006, in Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana. Rev. Timothy Green will conduct services at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2006, in the First General Baptist Church in Osceola, with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Adams was employed by Crown Industries as an assembler for several years. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Osceola, where she taught Sunday school for 48 years, sang in the choir, and participated in the Ladies Missionary Society and "God's Sunshine Ladies."
