Isabella "Bell" Bellon

Elton-A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Isabella “Bell” Bellon, 90, at 10 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2015 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Marshall Boulet officiated.

Burial followed in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.

Isabella, affectionately known as “Bell”, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved watching soap operas and bird and squirrel watching. She worked hard to take care of her children over the years and she was a great cook. She made the best oatmeal cookies and homemade bread.

Bell was a woman of strong faith. She enjoyed being with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish Isabella’s memory include her two sons, Kenneth Anson Bellon and wife, Grace, of Kinder and Michael Paul Bellon and wife, Melissa, of Elton; one daughter, Brenda B. Ortego and husband, Robert, of Kinder; 16 grandchildren; and 37 great grandchildren.

Isabella is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Irma Bertrand; her first husband, Clarence Douget, who died in World War II; her second husband, Anson Bellon; and four children, John Bellon, Judy Trouve, Cursey and Winston Douget.
