She was born on July 11, 1902, in Curcumello, Italy, the daughter of the late David and Maria Picinnini Cecchetti.
She was a member of Saint Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Brownsville, Pa., a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court 1141, former member of the Christian Mothers of Saint Peter's, Society of Catholic Women of Saint Peter's, Rosa Garabaldi Lodge 1818, of Brownsville, and a Charter member of the Cross Keys Senior Center.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ignazio Franceschini, two sons, Albert Franceschini and Albert (Bert) Francis, two brothers, Joseph and Nazzareno Cicchetti, three sisters, Caroline Kriss, Louise Merlo and Elsie Orlandi.
She was the last member of her immediate family.
She is survived by three children: Rose Corodi and Andrew of Brownsville, Lillian Francis of Cape Canaveral, Fla., Virginia Galway of Brownsville; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Francis of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren: Alma Jean Marcolini, Albert John (Bert) Francis II, Cynthia Stirling, Mark Galway and Teri Sigman; nine great-grandchildren: Karen, Andy and Colleen McNamara, Bert Francis, III, Christa and Chad Stirling, Josh Galway, Ryan and Robbie Sigman.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today, from 2 to 9 p.m., where a Prayer Service will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the Historic Church of Saint Peter with the Rev. Father Vincent Gigliotti as Celebrant. Interment will be in Redstone Cemetery.
The Parish will recite the rosary along with the Catholic Daughters today, at 3 p.m. Rosa Garabaldi, Lodge 1818, will conduct a service this evening, at 7 p.m.
