Charles, 68, of Bulger, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, in his home.
He was born November 25, 1945, in Bulger, a son of the late John and Bertha (Russell) Abbott.
Mr. Abbott was a mine worker and worked previously for Aloe Coal Co. He was a caregiver for Umberto Sciulli and enjoyed working outside and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a collector of hidden treasures.
Surviving are his children, Charles J. (Denise) Abbott, Jr. of Avella, Brad (Lori) Abbott of Eldersville and Jeff (Angela) Abbott of Meadville; grandchildren, Savanah, Sierra, Hannah, Hayden, Alexis, Anthony and Austin; brothers and sisters, Albert A. Abbott of Robinson Twp., Mary Ann Kramer of Southview, Emma Jean Hatton of Midway, Loretta Abbott of Bulger, Peggie LaRocka of Bulger, Katherine Hutchins of Bulger, and Tamy Lynn Toth of Cherry Valley.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Fischer Abbott and second wife, Linda Abbott.
Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday in the Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Avenue, McDonald (724-926-2800) where a blessing service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Burgettstown.
