Evelyn Eileen Claypool, age 88, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015, in Mountain Home. She was born December 3, 1926, in Keswick, Iowa to Issac and Ethel (Coghlan) Bair.

Mrs. Claypool married John Claypool April 8, 1948, in Sigourney, Iowa. They moved to Mountain Home in 1959, they purchased a resort and operated it for 10 years. They built a home in the Tracy area and she retired from Baxter Lab after 20 years of service. She was a former school teacher, who started teaching in a one room schoolhouse. She taught several family members as well as other children. She loved children and her family very much.

Mrs. Claypool is survived by three daughters Jacquelynn Pruett of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Shirley Claypool-Cochran of San Jose, California and Jill Ferns and husband Robert of Bettendorf, Iowa, eight grandchildren Michelle, Levi, Sarah, Kelly, Angie, Bekki, Cy and Chanda and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Jerry Allen Claypool, her husband and parents.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2105 at the Roller Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Bennett and Brother Don Pfalser officiating. A visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will be in Douglas Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Baxter County Library or Mountain Home First Christian Church.
