Larry D. Knudsen, 78, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Pocatello.

He was born March 22, 1937 in Malad, Idaho to Ila M. Landon Knudsen and John Hans Knudsen. He graduated from Bear River High School in Tremonton, Utah.

He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Denmark.

Larry served in the United States Air Force and worked in the insurance business for many years. In his free time he loved to hunt and fish. After he retired, he spent time traveling back and forth between Lake Havasu and Palisades, living in Blackfoot the last few years.

Larry is survived by his children, Shana Jean (Hayley) Knudsen of Woods Cross, UT, Larry John (Shannon) Knudsen of Bountiful, UT, Mandy Knudsen of Salt Lake City, UT and Nicole Knudsen of Salt Lake City, UT; three grandchildren, Andrew, Cole and Carson; siblings, Bud (Gloria) Knudsen, Dennis Knudsen, Andrea (Spence) Williams and Marsha (Chris) Wakley-Coy; and three grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Portage Utah Cemetery. Family will visit with friends at the Portage LDS Church from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 before services. Arrangements are under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home in Blackfoot.
