EFFIE JEAN BOHLER THOMPSON, 80, of Brookston, died at 2:00 AM, Sunday, December 11, 2011 at her home.

Funeral services are set for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with Bro. Emory Banker officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Thompson was born May 19, 1931 in Memphis, Texas to William and Estelle White Bohler.

She graduated from high school and married Amos Jackson Thompson on May 11, 1953 in Honey Grove, Texas. He died July 31, 2008.

She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Paris.

She is survived by four children, Debra J. Thompson of Brookston, Sheryl Diane Rickman and husband, William of Brookston, Kevin Jack Thompson and wife, Beth of Red Water, Texas, and Amos Keith Thompson and wife, Kenda; thirteen grandchildren, Jacqueline Graham and husband, Scott of Brookston, Brent Caffee of Dallas, Texas, Chris Rickman of Brookston, Robert Rickman of Paris, Brittany, Kolt, and Blake Thompson of Brookston, Colton, Cody, and Chance Booker of Brookston, Haley Thompson of Paris, Kyle Thompson and Kelsey Braden of Red Water, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Mercedes Graham of Brookston and Jessie, Samuel and Kaytie Rickman of Paris; three brothers, Richard Bohler of Talco, Texas, and Alvin and Billy Bohler of Paris; and three sisters, Jessie Hall, Robbie Wilbanks, and Helen Williams, all of Sherman, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two brothers, Barney and Raymond Bohler.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Thompson, Bruce Ary, Vance Bohler, Clint McKnight, Jeff Ensor, Steve Martin, and Michael Canup.

The family would like to thank Red River Home Health caregiver, Brent Caffee; Mrs. Thompson's personal caregiver, Doraline Gaither; Vista Care Hospice staff and caregivers, Gina and Kim, for the excellent and tender care given to their Mother.
